Strategic Plan Update: Weigh in On the Future of Humboldt
The following message was shared with the campus community. This version corrects the name of the "Resources Stewardship and Sustainability" theme.
For the last several weeks, creating a Strategic Plan has taken shape with working groups of members of the campus and local community identifying distinct themes:
- Student Experience & Success
- Academic Roadmap
- Employee Engagement & Success
- Community Collaboration & Shared Success
- Resources Stewardship and Sustainability
- Future Proofing Humboldt
These themes are the framework based on a “future forward” vision that’s focused on students, inclusive, aspirational, and reflects Humboldt’s history while articulating Humboldt’s overarching strategic direction and distinction in the CSU.
Working groups have finalized membership, tapping the expertise and experience of a cross-section of campus, and identifying critical questions related to their theme. Answers to these questions will help inform the Strategic Plan.
At the heart of this effort is inclusive participation. From Monday, Nov. 2 to Wednesday, Nov. 11, working groups will host virtual roundtable discussions where you can provide feedback and share ideas on each theme.
Feedback gathered and shared from these forums and other sources will be vetted and synthesized into a draft plan that is expected to be submitted to the University Senate for review by December. Your voice is crucial to the development of the Strategic Plan so keep an eye out for details and check updates at strategicplan.humboldt.edu.
