Office of Institutional Effectiveness Established

To ensure collaboration among similar and related campus assets/ resources to (i) support HSU's Strategic Plan implementation, (ii) support re-affirmation of HSU' s WASC accreditation, (iii) support the CSU Graduation Initiative 2025, (iv) provide university-wide support for student success efforts and (v) create and maintain a knowledge management culture in support of an informed, resourceful and thoughtful university community, the Office of Institutional Research and Planning (IRP) will morph into an Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE). Assets/ Resources from Business Affairs, Student Affairs, and Academic Affairs will be relocated into the OIE structure to ensure program effectiveness, provide more cohesive responses to campus data inquiries, and facilitate data-informed decision-making .

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness will provide support/ expertise to initiatives and projects related to planning, assessing, examining, and reporting on the accomplishments of Humboldt State University's mission and strategic goals; promote a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement through oversight of assessment, accountability and strategic planning function; serve to promote excellence in student learning, educational practices and quality of service by establishing and maintaining a campus culture of self-evaluation and improvement at all levels of the institution .
